If being seen in a Bugatti Chiron isn’t enough of a “Hey, look at me!” gesture, what about owning one that is bumble bee yellow and black? Still not enough attention? What if you were able to accept delivery of your new $2.998 million (after taxes, delivery, undercoating, etc.) Chiron during the most popular collector car show and auction in the world?
Well, this actually happened.
During the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance 2017 in California last week, a yellow/black on yellow/black Bugatti Chiron, complete with “Classique” wheels, was delivered to a well-heeled owner.
Over 30 percent of all Chiron orders stem from the United States, according to Bugatti. Hopefully, this is the only one in the Apidae family of color combination.
With all that yellow, I really hope the new owner of this almost $3 million hypercar has some kind of business reason for picking that color combination.
Are they the owner of French’s Mustard? Creator of Post-It notes? Head of the largest bee keeper supply company?
Remember, auto enthusiasts don’t let fellow enthusiasts buy limited-run hypercars (only 500 Chirons will be made), in polarizing colors. It’s just not how the auto world works.
