Jürgen Henn of 11foot8.com discovered a captivating video genre. They may be the most entertaining videos on Youtube. Normally, we frown upon crash videos, because real people get hurt. But in Jürgen’s videos, injuries consist mostly of pride and the top of a truck.
In 2008, Jürgen noticed an 11′ 8″ train trestle in Durham received so much “negative box truck attention” that the railroad company installed a crash beam to protect it. He set up a small camera, and within weeks, he had recorded his first crash. Nine years and 124 crashes later, Jürgen has fans, a popular youtube channel, and he even sells crash memorabilia and t-shirts at 11foot8.com.
The craziest thing? Despite all the buzz about the site and the bridge, people keep crashing. Jürgen gave us two angles in the latest one below.
